I was an underwriter at Oaktree Equity and they’re business specializes in the acquisition and management of self storage facilities. We have a system or database called Podio in which we have leads to underwrite. We have an underwriting template in which it consists the specific information on the subject property such as taxes, type of units, competitions and Financials. After we underwrote the deal, it will undergo in the deal review. Our deal review is a meeting with our colleagues and CEO to discuss our subject property if its a good deal or not and if we’re going to move forward with the deal or not.
I’m part of the skip tracing team in which we have enormous potential leads for self storage. Basically what we’re doing is that we’re finding the property owner information and their main contact phone number. After which we’re sending these information to our Account Rep Department and their job is to call the phone number that was given to them by the Skip Tracing Department and confirm if they are the owner of the self storage.
