I had the privilege of working as an underwriter at Oaktree Equity, where I specialized in evaluating self-storage investments. My role involved gathering a wide range of critical information, such as demographics, property size, tax implications, unit types, competition, and financial data.
Once the underwriting process was complete, we would present our findings in a deal review with our CEO and colleagues. These sessions were rigorous, reflecting our team’s meticulous approach to analyzing every detail. We carefully weighed the pros and cons to ensure we made informed, strategic decisions about each potential deal.
The experience taught me the importance of precision, collaboration, and a keen eye for detail, all of which I strive to bring to every professional challenge I take on.
I was a Finance Representative also in Oaktree Equity. After we have successfully closed a deal. In the Finance Department we are calling banks that are near to the footprint of the subject property that we are going to buy. We are calling all the banks near our footprint if we are eligible for a Business or Commercial Loan. After that we are eligible for a specific bank. We are asking the bank about the best term sheet that we can get. Term sheet contains the following loan amt. value, amortization, loan term and other term details.
It’s seldom in a year that there are no leads to work on in the company. If there are no leads I train the newcomers with the fundamentals of underwriting, financing stuff, how to skip trace effectively and other side tasks that can help and grow the company while at the same time having fun and growing together as a team.
I was a Loan officer in company named Service First for almost 6 months. Basically we are an outbound customer service. The leads have already been provided by the company and we are cold calling the customers to check to see if they are interested with the loan. If they are interested, for example we will inform them how to be qualified, discuss the terms and conditions of the personal loan, what mode of payment will be used. I was one of the top performers in this company because of how efficient I was handling the customers. To be able to effectively communicate with them. Ask relevant questions to understand their needs.
I was a chat support in Concentrix. The line of business was Comcast E-billing for almost 1 year and 6 months. We are assisting the customers through chat if they have inquiries, problems or want to upgrade their services. For example, if they have billing inquiries, problems with regards to their cable, internet or phone plan. We are the one who is helping them and resolving the issue.
